Cristal Health Journal (CHJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Centro de Pesquisa e Serviço Comunitário (CPSC) of Instituto Superior Cristal (ISC), Dili, Timor-Leste.
The journal is dedicated to publishing high-quality research in health sciences, medical research, and community service. CHJ aims to provide a platform for academics, practitioners, and researchers to disseminate innovations and research findings that contribute to the development of health systems, both locally in Timor-Leste and globally.
Cristal Health Journal provides a broad scope of coverage, including but not limited to:
Nursing: Clinical nursing, community health nursing, emergency care, and nursing management.
Midwifery: Maternal and child health, reproductive health, and primary care in midwifery.
Physiotherapy: Rehabilitation, physical therapy, sports medicine, and movement sciences.
Public Health: Health promotion, epidemiology, and health education in communities, schools, and workplaces.
The journal welcomes various types of scientific contributions, including Original Research Articles (Descriptive, Analytical, and Experimental), Applied Research, Systematic Reviews, and Case Studies.

Originality: Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is entirely original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
Plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism is strictly prohibited. The maximum similarity index allowed for this journal is 20%.
Ethical Approval (Ethical Clearance): For research involving human subjects (patients in clinics or hospitals), authors must provide an ethical clearance certificate from a recognized institutional ethics committee.
Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing the research findings.
Fair Play: Editors evaluate manuscripts based on their scientific merit without regard to race, gender, religion, or institutional affiliation of the authors.
Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the assigned reviewers and editorial board.
Publication Decisions: The editor-in-chief is responsible for deciding which of the manuscripts submitted to the journal will be published, based on the review results.
Confidentiality: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
Promptness: Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified or unable to complete the review within the specified time should notify the editor immediately.
If a violation of ethics or data manipulation is discovered after the manuscript has been published, the journal management reserves the right to issue a formal Retraction of the article from the OJS system.
